You know how it is, you're out doing a little online browsing and you find this really cool web site with the most awesome color scheme ever created by man. Not only that but there's one particular color right there in the graphics that would be perfect for the background to a little project you're working on yourself. The only problem is, what's the code for that shade? Well now my friend your troubles are over, for I have a little desktop tool here which will tell you exactly that. Colorpic is a nifty little application from Iconic which allows you to compile palettes of colors from any image or site you have on your screen. To create a new palette you merely have to hold your cursor over the color you want and press CTRL-G to grab the shade. 'Chips' of color are then shown in the palette together with both the RGB and the hex codes to reproduce it. This is fantastic for web designers as the hex code is very easily entered into CSS files and WYSIWYG editors such as Dreamweaver or Adobe. Failing that the RGB code can be used to reproduce the color in your graphics editing software to allow you to produce tiles, or matching images. Version 4 is now available, with the following features: - Easily pick any color from the screen
- Totally 100% Free!
- No popup adverts or spyware, it really is free
