As you may or may not know, 'Live search' is a feature whereby results are suggested in real time  as the user types their request into the search box, changing to focus in on the search term as each letter is typed. Unlike the standard Wordpress search box which simply accepts your input and does the search.

John Nunemaker has done a fantastic job of bringing this capability to the Wordpress platform with his uber cool plugin WP Live Search . The plugin simply adds the live capability to the existing search box to allow your readers to get to what they are looking for quickly. Suggestions appear in the sidebar directly beneath the form until the user has finished typing and the results are then shown in full. It's simple, it's effective and it does exactly what it promises.
