So what exactly is an adult blog and just what is involved?
Blogs, or weblogs, are individual WebPages, usually hosted on servers holding hundreds of similar blogs. Originally meant as a kind of online diary or somewhere for people to air their personal views, they have become one of the most widely used forms of personal web-site available today. The popularity of community sites such as myspace.com, blogger.com and technorati.com illustrate just how easy it is to create and organise your own personal blog. Of course, whenever something becomes an online traffic puller the adult industry is not far behind, and in the last few years the owners of adult web sites have embraced the format and started to produce promotional material which perfectly fits this genre.
Typically adult blogs are regularly updated with example images from a particular adult niche and a short piece of text encouraging the reader to click on the image and check out the source of the image for themselves. MAKING MONEY FROM BLOGS
So how do adult blog makers make money from their blogs?
Well typically the blog contains images and text which are hotlinked to galleries of pictures hosted on the adult site which they advertise. If the reader likes what they see and decides to join the site then the owner of the blog receives a payment from the site owners. This may be a one off set fee, a commission, (usually 50% or more), or a commission on the new membership fee PLUS a commission every time that reader renews their membership.
As you can imagine these commissions and payments can add up to quite a tidy sum as long as you can continue to drive readers to your blog.
