Back when it was founded, PageRank (PR) was the keystone of Googles search engine. At the time it revolutionised the way in which web pages were assessed for ranking in search results. In fact, so confident were it's developers of its ability to place the best page for your search term at the top, that Google even included a 'I feel lucky' button to take you directly there if you so wished. But that was then and this is now. Nowadays the Web is more commercial and, let's face it, much much bigger. Does PageRank still give Google that edge? Or is it by now so abused that it has become worthless in evaluating search results?
