Page 1 of 3 Writing effective content for adult sites is something which comes easily to some webmasters and eventually to others. Many find it difficult to write in an explicit way, especially if they are not used to being graphic in their everyday conversation. However, as the text you use in your blog posts or content is your only chance to pitch to your readers then it is an important skill to master.
General Tips For Sales Text Empathise. One of the keys to writing effective advertising copy is to try to empathise with your readers. Work to build up some rapport by making them feel that you share a similar view or opinion about the content they are seeing or the offer you are making. A phrase which is effective in this way would be 'I don't know about you but I'm not paying $35 for porn when I can get all I need at this site for a buck'. Always try to involve the reader in some way so as to create the impression of a conversation rather than a lecture. One effective way to do this is to throw in a few questions to engage the readers brain and hopefully fire their imagination a little. Directing the reader to look at a specific item can also achieve this, and by combining the two your text can become very effective. For example, 'Man look at the ass on that babe. The way those cheeks are just squeezing outa that bikini...... don't it make ya wanna just bend that babe right over right there?' Words like 'you' and 'yours' help the reader to associate themselves with your message. Sound interested in what you are selling. I know this sounds obvious, but after writing fifty blog posts you may find your tone going a little disinterested. 'This bikini model has a nice bottom. I would love to spank it.', is not going to sell anything for you. A flat montone style is more suited to writing informative articles such as errrrrrr this one. Web surfers don't read most of what you put in front of them. They skim large amounts of text for details and key words to catch their eye. To keep their attention you need to keep your paragraphs short and snappy and to the point. The most eye catching item is probably the title of the piece, so make sure this is brief and grabs the readers attention. Check your spelling. Many of your readers will be native in a different language to yours and may struggle to understand why you have written 'form' instead of 'from'. Not only that but some use translation software to read foreign pages and believe me, that software is going to struggle enough with your more explicit words let alone typo's as well. |
